Privacy Policy

Your data never leaves your device. Here's how MyJSONPal protects your privacy.

Last updated: August 1, 2026

Overview

MyJSONPal is built around a single promise: your data stays on your device. All tools — formatting, validation, auto-repair, minification, and every conversion — run entirely in your browser using JavaScript and Web Workers. There are no application servers that receive, process, store, or log the JSON you work with.

This policy explains what little information the site uses, why it is used, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email aftandevelops@gmail.com.

What we never see

  • Your JSON data. Input, intermediate, and output content is processed locally and is never transmitted over the network.
  • File contents. When you drag and drop a file, it is read directly by your browser and never uploaded.
  • Account credentials. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no passwords on MyJSONPal.

What we do use

The only data the site touches is minimal and non-identifying:

  • Theme preference. Your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser's localStorage so it persists between visits. It never leaves your device.
  • Page hosting logs. Like any website, the hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, requested URL, browser type) for security and reliability. These are not linked to your JSON activity.

Cookies and advertising

MyJSONPal does not set cookies for its own functionality. If advertising is enabled on the site, third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to serve relevant ads. These are controlled by the ad provider, not by MyJSONPal, and you can opt out via your browser settings or Google's Ad Settings.

Third-party links

The site links to external resources (such as our GitHub profile). Those destinations have their own privacy policies and data practices, which we do not control.

Children's privacy

MyJSONPal is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information, there is nothing that would knowingly identify a child.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised policy.
